Read Between The Lines ("we", "us") runs the website and app at readbetweenthelines.app, including Book Bestie, the reading companion inside it. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy & Data page. You must be at least 18 to use Read Between The Lines.
Membership includes 30 research credits a month. Screening a book Book Bestie hasn't researched yet uses 1; finding you a brand-new book from outside your shelf uses 2. Books already researched, picks from your TBR and chats don't use credits. Credits reset each month on your membership date and don't roll over. To keep the service running well for everyone, Book Bestie may pause new research for the rest of your month if use is unusually heavy.
Your shelf, ratings, debriefs, notes and conversations belong to you. You give us permission to store and use them only to run Read Between The Lines for you, as described on our Privacy & Data page. Our site, app, Book Bestie's name, our artwork and our writing belong to us; please don't copy or resell them.
You can stop using the app anytime and ask us to delete your account and data by emailing [email protected]. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms; if we do, we'll tell you why when we can.
We work hard to keep Read Between The Lines running and accurate, but it's provided as it is, without guarantees that it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, and our total responsibility for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the three months before it arose.
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll update this page and the date at the top, and tell members by email.
